Electric Heating Teleswitch Shut Down
Do you have electric heating?
Do you have a dual rate Economy 7 or 10 type electric tariff (separate night & day rate)?
The Radio Teleswitch Service (RTS), which controls the dual rate time schedule for traditional meters, will be permanently turned off on 30th June 2025.
You may have received information from your energy provider or heard the Government promotion on TV and radio just now advising that ALL traditional dual rate electric meters must be upgraded to smart meters to ensure continued operation of your heating and hot water system as normal.
If you have not yet heard from your supplier, Grampian Housing Association, as your landlord, would strongly recommend you contact them. This is not something that we can do on your behalf as the contract to supply electricity to your home is between you and your energy supplier only.
