ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance)
Environmental, social and governance (ESG) is a global initiative that keeps customers, lenders and wider stakeholders informed of the impact an organisation has on the Environment, how it contributes Social value and how its Governance structures are set up to ensure management of risks and opportunities. As ESG has worked its way in to the mainstream in recent years, the United Kingdom social housing sector has worked with its funders to establish an ESG reporting framework called Sustainability Reporting Standard for Social Housing (SRS) that addresses the needs of both the housing and financial sectors alike.
Following approval by the Customer, Asset and Development (CAD) Committee in June 2022 The Grampian Group has signed up to the SRS to strengthen our relationships across the sector.
