Nikola Will
Board member since: 28 July 2023
Member of Finance, Assurance & Staffing (FAS) Committee since: 13 February 2024
Nikola has recently returned to the retail sector as a Store Manager. Nikola’s background is mainly retail, a sector she has worked in for over 20 years including as Deputy Manager for a well known supermarket.
Previously Nikola was Bureau Manager of Kincardine and Mearns citizens Advice Bureau (KAMCAB). As a Bureau Manager Nikola had financial responsibility for the Bureau along with line managing staff. Nikola was a Generalist Outreach Adviser with Aberdeen Citizens Advice Bureau (ACAB) where she had responsibility for providing advice on a range of topics including welfare benefits and housing as well as working in partnership with The Trussell Trust foodbanks. Through this front-line role she was committed to assisting people to access all the support and assistance available to them during these uncertain and challenging times.
Nikola has a degree in Business Management which she achieved through distance learning with Robert Gordon University while working full time.
Importantly Nikola brings lived experience as a social housing tenant to her role as a Board member. She was keen to join the Board of Grampian because she believes everyone has a right to live in affordable housing. Through Nikola’s work with ACAB and KAMCAB she is acutely aware of the impact that the cost-of-living crisis and increased energy costs are having on households and she is bringing this in-depth knowledge and experience to her strategic role as a Board member.
